Having provided local access to healthcare for the past 60 years, Spooner Health System has a strong tie to the community. It also is a strong provider of quality healthcare, being recognized as a 5-star hospital by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services as well as one of the top 61 hospitals for physician-patient communication by Becker’s Hospital Review.
Changing their name from "Spooner Health System" to "Spooner Health" allows the focus to be more on health as opposed to healthcare. It also keeps the name clean and fresh, while still encompassing all the services available.
With a new facility and a fresh name, the next logical transformation was Spooner Health’s brand identity. Thus, a journey was started to redesign the logo and create a look that better reflected the culture and ideals of Spooner Health.
The new logo takes the form of a tree within a circle. As a tree grows, it builds a solid, stable trunk that enables it to stay strong as its environment changes. Also, a tree is ever evolving—shedding old leaves every fall so new ones can bud in the spring. The circle that stems from the tree’s base demonstrates how Spooner Health is rooted in the community. The bold, earthy jewel tones of the new logo and color palette depict warmth and comfort, but are also strong and empowering.
